This was a simple name and re-number exercise for my dear friend Mike. There was also a light weathering. This is quite an old Hornby Model, but with care it still has its place on a layout.

Something a bit different! Many of this type of loco were taken into WD stock during WW2, they were worked very hard in service and care worn and unkempt. I have tried to bring this condition over in the model. This is a OO Loco renumbered after research.

I guess this should read, re-weathered as it was a factory weathered Loco, by Bachmann. I also renumbered it to an actual BR loco. It arrived as 90773 which was a preserved import. It is now 90771, a North Eastern Engine.

This is a model of a Ipswich Dock Shunter from the 1950’s. It is an old A1 Models Kit that was made by someone unknown. It has now been refurbished, repainted, sound fitted and weathered.

Today the layout met some of its stock. We have a few minor amendments to do, but overall this was a very pleasing result. This is Grahams stock, I weathered most – but not all of these.

This is a J65 that I have had quite a while. I have only just got around to detailing this loco and giving it a very light weathering. This was one of two J65’s that went to BR(E) ownership, this one to Ipswich, the other to Gt Yarmouth (South Town) – both had been withdrawn by 1956.

This is a Loco made by ‘OO Works’ and very good it is. My task was merely to number it and give it a light weathering.

I Purchased this Loco from a member of the O Gauge Guild at a very good price. The Loco was a bit tatty and the weathering left a bit to be desired, however it was a very good runner. I have now re-painted, renumbered, added further detail and re-weathered it. Below are the results.
I admit buying off Ebay etc. can be a bit of a gamble, but for me as long as the Loco is good runner and the kit is well constructed with no missing parts, then the actual paintwork is of less importance.

This is a recent Ebay purchase that has been completely refurbished. I have done a partial repaint, renumber, weather and added some extra detail.
This was one of the E4’s that moved North for a while, and during this time had a more enclosed cab fitted, instead of the more basic GE variety.

I was asked if I could salvage this Loco – it was made to a very good standard, but very poorly painted – it had not been undercoated and the topcoat was flaking quite badly! I did a complete repaint, re-number and weathering job, results below.
