O Gauge F7 Updated

This is the result of a complete repaint and a move in livery of about 20 years. This Loco lasted until November 1948 – so just lasted into the British Rail Era, But even although it was allocated a BR number, it did not receive this livery. This Loco was then in Scotland and they did some modifications to it, namely remove the Westinghouse Brake and Piping as well as the bunker extensions.

So there we have it a completely fictional Loco – the first time I have ever done this.

Holden F7 2-4-2T in O Gauge

I purchased this ready made Connoisseur Loco recently, it is in LNER livery and numbered as a very early withdrawal – so no use to my BR(E) layout. I will need to re-livery and re-number as something more appropriate.

I spent about three hours researching the last two Locos of this class yesterday evening. They did make it to BR ownership, but not on the Eastern Region – they were on the Scottish region for nearly a year under BR at 65A. The Locos were allocated BR numbers but whether they where taken up is doubtful.

I now had a decision to make and after much thought I decided to change the livery to BR Black with the full ‘BRITISH RAILWAYS’ logo, and numbered 67093, one of the last two withdrawn. I can not ascertain whether this Loco actually appeared like this but using a little ‘modellers licence’ helps.

Two O Gauge Pugs

Here are two Kit Built Sevenscale Pugs, one BR and the other LMS. The BR Pug was built to a very high standard and only a few tweaks and a light weathering were asked for by their owner Ollie. The second Pug I believe was an Ebay purchase and required a lot more work as it was built to a lesser standard, had a few bits missing. It was also in the wrong LMS livery for Ollie, so a partial repaint and new number and transfers required, it also has been given a light weathering.

Class 26 in O Gauge weathered

This loco is not one of the current batch, but one of three I purchased in the first batch several years ago. Of the three this is the only one that currently works as the other two have the traditional Heljan gear slip problems – I will seek help and get them replaced before I weather them. I have sprayed the full yellow warning panel on the loco to have something a bit different. This loco has received a medium weathering.

Class 30 (31) Weathered

This is a Class 31 that I purchased when the first batch came out several years ago. Only now have I got around to weathering it. I have not changed the exhaust ports to the original engine variety as I may well still do it as a English Electric at a later date. This is a light to medium weathering as it represents a loco not long in service, but still living with steam engines.
