This is not a new purchase, but a loco that I have had for quite a while. It was originally numbered 47227, which was a CF engine. I chose this number as I saw it a couple of times on Gt Yarmouth Summer Saturday trains at Norwich. After re-arranging my era’s I needed an Eastern Region Example – the name plates were purchased and the naming and renumbering has just taken place.
47380 was in this condition for only a few months as the new sector three tone grey liveries quickly followed the red stripe variety. I believe the Immingham Depot must have wanted their ‘pet’ loco in the latest livery!
